Portfolio Prep Program

The Aspire Portfolio Prep Program is an 8-week summer program designed to prepare high school students for the rigors of an AP Art class or a college art course. 
The program is very intensive and requires that students be at a certain skill level in order to join. 

The objective of the program is to create 4-5 art pieces and 10 sketchbook spreads that would be able to go into an AP Art Portfolio or a college portfolio

The class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 
Studio space and resources are available to students on Tuesday and Thursdays. 

If your child is planning on joining an AP Art class in their high school and were assigned homework, the program can be adjusted to fit their needs and requirements. 
If your child is not planning on joining an AP Art Class, they can still benefit greatly from this program. All pieces produced during the program can be used in a college portfolio.

We do not specialize in targeted portfolios (EX: Art Center: Entertainment Design)

Student Requirements

Students aged 12+

Students must assess before joining our program or have art pieces from an art class they have taken.
If you child is already enrolled in our regular classes, you can ask their teacher if they are ready for the portfolio prep class.

Just like an AP Art classroom or college course, homework will be assigned to the students that is mandatory to complete  

Attendance Policy

In order to be on track with the program, students must attend all instructional days. 

There are no credits or makeups for missed classes. If a student needs to miss class due to vacation or illness, let the studio know so we can keep them up to date. 

Students are allowed to come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays at no extra cost to use studio space and supplies.
